Der German-Indian Round Table (GIRT) Köln trifft sich in der Regel mindestens zweimal im Jahr. Ziel der Kölner GIRT-Treffen ist es, Unternehmen aus der rheinischen Region fundiert über den indischen Markt zu informieren.
Mittelständische Unternehmen berichten dabei über ihre praktischen Erfahrungen im Indiengeschäft, und erfahrene Indien-Experten geben Einblicke in aktuelle Entwicklungen der deutsch-indischen Wirtschaftsbeziehungen sowie in relevante interkulturelle Fragestellungen. Darüber hinaus dienen die Treffen dem gegenseitigen Erfahrungsaustausch und dem Netzwerken unter den teilnehmenden Indien-Interessierten.
Geleitet wird der Kölner GIRT von Thomas Breitinger (Vice President International Business Advisory, Altios Germany GmbH). Er ist Absolvent der Universität zu Köln mit einem Masterabschluss in Volkswirtschaftslehre und internationaler Politik. Mit über 17 Jahren Berufserfahrung — davon 16 bei ALTIOS — führt er heute das International Business Advisory Team für die DACH-Region.
Thomas ist spezialisiert auf Internationalisierungsstrategien und grenzüberschreitende Investitionsberatung. Er unterstützt Unternehmen bei ihrer globalen Expansion mit strategischen, entwicklungsorientierten und operativen Lösungen in enger, zielorientierter Zusammenarbeit.
The German-Indian Round Table (GIRT) Cologne usually meets at least twice a year. The aim of the Cologne GIRT meetings is to provide companies from the Rhineland region with well-founded insights into the Indian market.
Medium-sized companies share their practical experiences in doing business in India, while seasoned India experts present on current developments in German-Indian economic relations as well as relevant intercultural aspects. In addition, the meetings serve as a platform for exchanging experiences and for networking among participants interested in India.
The Cologne GIRT is led by Thomas Breitinger (Vice President International Business Advisory, Altios Germany GmbH). He holds a master’s degree in economics and international politics from the University of Cologne. With more than 17 years of professional experience — 16 of them at ALTIOS — he currently heads the International Business Advisory team for the DACH region.
Thomas specializes in internationalization strategies and cross-border investment consulting, supporting companies in their global expansion with strategic, developmental, and operational solutions through close, goal-oriented collaboration.
Thomas lives in Cologne and travels regularly around the world to advise clients on site and strengthen international partnerships.
